Once patients begin using our off-the-shelf orthotics, we expect stronger musculature to develop in their feet, reduced fatigue, and the ability to stay on their feet for longer periods of time. To ensure a smooth transition, start by wearing the orthotics for 2 hours on the first day, gradually increasing by a few hours each day until your feet, knees, and back are fully adjusted to the realignment.

When your feet have gained strength, we recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Stocks to explore custom orthotics—personally designed and prescribed based on your improved biomechanics. Similar to how a tailored suit should fit your ideal physique, custom orthotics are most effective when your feet are properly conditioned through months of wearing over-the-counter support.
